Different from other ways of transport, the regulation and freight rates of international air transport were settled and coordinated by the International Air Transport Association (IATA). Considering the different conditions of society, economy and market, IATA divided the globe into three regions called IATA Traffic Conference Areas, in which there are several subregions. Because divided on the basis of air transport factors, these regions are unlike the familiar political divisions.
Traffic Conference one (TC1): North and South America, Greenland, Bermuda islands and Hawaii islands
Traffic Conference Two (TC2): the whole European Continent (the land of Russia in Europe included) and its adjacent islands, ice land, Azores Islands, the African continent and its adjacent islands, Iran and regions west to Iran.
Traffic Conference Three (TC3): the Asian continent and its adjacent islands (barring the part counted in TC2), Australia, New Zealand and its adjacent islands, Pacific islands (barring the ones in TC1).
